Objective
Students will be equipped with advanced knowledge in basic and specialized subjects of Meteorology and Climatology, such as modern tropical meteorology, weather and climate forecasting technology. The program will also equip students will skills for analyzing atmospheric events, running and programming modern numerical weather and climate forecasting models.
Graduates from the program can work independently and creatively, can become experts in the fields of weather forecasting, climatology, environment, etc.
Candidates who wish to pursue a master degree of Meteorology and Climatology should meet the following requirements:
Diploma requirements:
- Bachelor degree specialized in Meteorology or some closely related fields.
- Bachelor degree which is related to Meteorology and Climatology. Those candidates should take additional courses in order to have equivalent knowledge in Meteorology and Climatology as others. The courses as well as additional credit number will be stipulated by Vietnam National University.
Working experience requirements:
- Candidates who obtained a bachelor degree in Meteorology or some closely related fields with above average grade are eligible for taking the Master’s entrance examination right after graduating from their bachelor program.
- For other cases, candidates are required to have at least 2 years (24 months) of working experiences in the field related to Meteorology and Climatology since their bachelor graduation.
