The Faculty of Meteorology-Hydrology-Oceanography will host a workshop on remote sensing for hydrology and meteorology using micro-satellite and ground-based facilities on March 22-23, 2011. The workshop is a joined collaboration between the Faculty and a number of Japanese scientists from TohokuUniversity. It is expected from this workshop that scientists from both sides could contribute further toward better planning for the Asian VLF observation network (AVON) dedicated to lightning detection as well as some possibility to build observation site in Vietnam. Collaborative international MOUs will be considered.
