This program leads to a Bachelor of science degree in Oceanography with adequate fundamental, basic and specific knowledge in oceanography.
The education program provides students with common knowledge on mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics and advanced computation skills in order to build up a strong foundation for serving in the field of oceanography.
Graduates can find their carrier at colleges and universities, research institutes or other consultant companies related to the field of marine hydrometeorology, oceanography, marine resources and environment management.
Students in Oceanography can choose one between two majors:
- Physical Oceanography
- Marine Management
For each major, the total number of credits is 131 which are divided into:
- Common subjects: 30
- Social Sciences and Humanities Subjects: 4
- Fundamental science subjects Mathematics, Physics, Informatics,...): 37
- Basic knowledge subjects: 31
- Specialized Subjects (subjects vary depending on each major): 22
